Shipwright Background
Bellingham Yachts has a service department that has been constantly evolving to become the best at what they do for the past 30 years and make sure no detail is overlooked.

Our staff also includes a long history of commercial marine service experience. Nick Ouilette, co-owner of Bellingham Yachts, started doing yacht service work himself back in 1984, but was not new to mechanical work on boats or ships. As a cadet at Maine Maritime Academy, it began a four year career path to study and maintain ships propulsions systems while getting hands on experience aboard the academy's 550 ft training vessel- the T.V. State of Maine. Every year, two months were spent at sea, learning and experiencing the challenges aboard a ship, followed by nine months of class time.

After graduation and obtaining a BS degree in Marine Engineering, and a USCG license as third engineer- unlimited Horsepower Steam and Diesel, it was time to go to sea aboard various ships as a watch standing engineer. This employment developed the experience and characteristics necessary to find the best employees that do outstanding work, are honest, and take pride in their accomplishments.

The crew has been led by Mark Enstad since 2003, who prior to moving to Bellingham with his family, had approximately 20 years experience servicing Grand Banks. Mark personally values all of our clients, and is responsible for much repeat business, and gives our customers the assurance that their yacht will be taken care of in a way that makes them satisfied. That is why our customers insist that only Bellingham Yachts work on their boat.
