Accomodations.
Her hand-crafted interior adds to the sense of luxury, evident throughout this fine yacht. The master stateroom berth forward is low and wide, making it both comfortable and easy to access with extra open space above for climbing in and out of bed. The berth itself is a 60" by 80" queen and it is surrounded by dovetailed maple drawers, a cedar-lined hanging locker, and many storage spaces for other personal belongings. A pocket door separates the salon and stateroom while the head with a stall shower has private access from the stateroom and from the salon.
The Spacious Salon
The main salon of the Sabreline 38 cleverly blends old world craftsmanship with contemporary design. The focal point is the magnificent inlaid table crafted in American cherry and birdseye maple. The settee converts to create a double guest berth. Outboard are handy bookshelves and lockers with louvered doors and in the side of the cabin top a large stainless steel opening portlight supplies ample light and air to this luxurious space. At the forward end of the salon is the featured bulkhead, designed to enclose such systems as head and air conditioning and a pocket door to the owners stateroom. A flat screen TV and DVD player are set into the backlit recess and above, a glass cabinet is provided for stem wear.
The Galley
Conveniently situated at the base of the companionway, the fully equipped galley is close at hand to the helm deck space where much of your time aboard will be spent. Galley equipment includes a convection microwave oven, ceramic cook-top, coffee maker, and an AC/DC under counter fridge/freezer. A second fridge with ice maker is located in the helm deck wet bar are. There is also ample storage for provisions and cooking utensils in the galley's main lockers, shelves and drawers. A large stainless steel portlight and an overhead hatch provide ventilation and light.
Cockpit Helm
The huge enclosed cockpit with plenty of room for lounging and entertaining is one of the most celebrated features on this new design. The hard top enclosure provides a comfortable and welcoming space, as popular underway as it is at rest. From the Stidd helm and mate's seats there are clear and unobstructed views of the surroundings. The additional L-shaped settee, beautiful teak handcrafted table and wet-bar area provide almost all the luxuries of a true pilothouse design. And to add to cruising comfort, Sabre's engineers have reduced noise and vibration levels substantially with a careful study of engine room ventilation and insulation.
Electronics and Mechanics
The revolutionary helm on this model is equipped with all the latest and finest Raytheon electronics on the market today including the ST6001 Auto Pilot, Color C-120 12" Radar, GPS, Chart Plotter, Fish Finder, etc. To add to these electronics this boat has also been equipped with the new QSB Electronic Twin Cummins 380HP engines with smart display. This 38 Express with its modern deep-vee hull design provides a comfortable and dry ride at cruise speeds in the mid to high twenties.
Cockpit and Deck
Few, if any modern express cruisers can compare the safety and security of thier side decks and handrails to those of the Sabreline 38 Express. Unlike most express cruisers, the deck offers safe footing with a wooden toe rail and molded-in anti-skid surface. On the foredeck, an electronic rope/chain windlass is provided for easy anchor management, and a large deck well is located aft of the chain locker for fender and line storage. Custom stainless steel mooring chocks forward and amidships, stainless steel portlights and highly polished aluminum hatchesa re beautiful and practical. They will retain their looks for many years to come.
