Back Cove 26'

Spirited, beautiful and seaworthy, the Back Cove 26 is a joy to operate and a pleasure to own. She will cruise at 20 knots with her standard four cylinder diesel engine. Fuel economy is extraordinary throughout her speed range. At 20 knots and the Back Cove 26 can cruise for over 265 nautical miles at a cost almost 50% lower than most gasoline powered vessels. A standard bow thruster is provided to facilitate low speed maneuvers. Downward turning spray rails and wide chines increase stablilty, keeping the boat dry in a seaway, and assisting her hull onto the plane. Sight lines from the helm are excellent.

One of the many perks of this beauty is her 9'4" beam which translates to being able to put her on a trailer and haul her to your desired launch locale while still travelling the seas in style and luxury provided by Back Cove's lobster boat tradition.

The style and grace of the Maine lobster boat has long been admired by boating enthusiasts throughout the world. No builder blends the classical looks with modern construction better than Back Cove Yachts. The interior of the 26 is bright and airy. Finished in hand-varnished American Cherry, her interior joinery is finely built. This space is warm, welcoming and gives a sense of luxury.

Back Cove 29'

The Back Cove 29 is the most recent example of everything that makes a Down East lobster boat a work of art. She has a traditional spoon bow and her transom is gently sloped: a style that will turn heads in any harbor she enters. Below the surface she is modern and contemporary. A deep-vee hull with prop recess and standard trim tabs offers comfort and performance.

She comes standard with a single electronic 260 horsepower Yanmar, 6 cylinder diesel engine, with a cruising speed of 20 knots, topping out at 24 knots and the same high pressure common rail design as the electronic Cummins series. Many other single engine options are also available to suit your specific yachting needs on new boat orders. Click here to view our stock models.

Bellingham Yacht Sales image You may order this with a hard top providing covered seating for those blustery days the Northwest is known for. The helm and mate seat are fully adjdustable and provide sight lines that are among the best in this class. The L-settee offers extra seating under cover of the hard top, or in the open air and the optional aft cockpit seat means you can seat up to seven people comfortably on deck.
There is also an optional rear bulkhead enclosure available that allows you to stay warm and dry, cuts down on engine noise from the exhaust, and provides a locked door security when leaving the boat.

Back Cove 33'

The Back Cove 33 offers one of the most innovative layouts on the market, combining the maneuvarability of a smaller yacht with the convenient sleeping arrangment of larger motor yachts. With all her helm seating and galley-up, she is ideal for cruising with good company on deck. With her spacious stateroom, L-Settee and covertable double berth on the helm deck, she can easily sleep five making her ideal for a family or company. Demand for this model is already high with over 50 boats sold. We are now accepting orders for 2009. And, at this time, we have a very limited number of stock boats available in 2008.

Bellingham Yacht Sales image Below deck is a large and comfortable vee-berth, L-settee with pilot berth above, and a head with stall shower. On the helm deck, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to port is a dinette where four adults can sit and enjoy a meal. The inlaid table is a fine example of the Maine boat builder's craftsmanship and tradition, evident throughout the Back Cove 33. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a wide Ultraleather bench seat for the navigator. The helm deck is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. We have ordered our boat with the optional hardback enclosure which fully encloses the pilothouse.

Bellingham Yacht Sales image We look forward to showing you the Back Cove 33. It is has proven to be very popular in the Pacific Northwest. It has already become the fastest selling new model in the history of Sabre and Back Cove Yachts. We invite you to seriously compare this model to the Ocean Roamer, MJM 34, Legacy 32, Sabre 34, and Tiara. Come see for yourself, the truly classic Downeast styling.

Introducing the Newest addition to the Back Cove Family: The Back Cove 37'

The Back Cove 37 is the largest Back Cove to date, following on the success of the 26, 29, and 33 footers. Back Cove's goal of designing simple, low mainenance boats that are easy on the eyes, easy on yard expenses and easy on the fuel bills, has been attained, with over 300 Back Coves in operation around the world today and the fleet growing rapidly.

Like other Back Cove models, the 37 has a single diesel engine, bow thruster combination that is more fuel efficient than many twin engine, gasoline powered, vessels of comparable size and displacement. New electronic diesels of the type installed in this and other Back Cove models are cleaner running and quieter thanks to common rail and other modern fuel injection technologies. Electronic engine and shifter controls are always smooth and predictable. Typical cruise speeds with standard engines are in the 20 knot range and optional engines are available that will raise cruise speed to the mid-twenties. The Back Cove 37 is a vee-style with downward turning chines forward.

The designer of the Back Cove 37 has drawn a "space within a space" layout that conveys an openness and bright feeling. Her main salon is surrounded by large windows, several opening wide to allow fresh air to flow through this luxurious space. This entire deck is raised to the height of the steering pedestal so as to provide the same views for helmsman, crew and guests; a proven design element of other Back Cove models which has become a big "why" factor that purchasers refer to over and over again as their favorite thing about their Back Cove.

We are excited to share more information about this up and coming Back Cove model, please feel free to contact us at any time so that we can provide you with more information!!!
